About Hachnosas Kallah
Hachnosas kallah — helping a bride begin her home — is one of the oldest mitzvos of Jewish community life. We are neighbors who organize that help quietly, so every couple can start with what they need, and with their dignity whole.
How a request is handled
When a family reaches out, their request goes to one trusted community coordinator — not to a committee, not to a list, and never to a public page. The coordinator speaks with the family personally, understands what would actually help, and only then quietly arranges support.
Nothing about a family is ever shared without their permission. When a need is shared with supporters, it is shared as a need alone — no names, no address, no story.
How giving works
Supporters pledge toward real, reviewed needs — or lend items through a gemach, or offer a discount through their business. No payment is ever collected on this site. A coordinator completes every pledge with you personally, so a person stands behind every gift.
Our promise
No public “needy couple” page. No donor leaderboard. Support updates are anonymized unless the couple gives permission. Kavod comes first — always.
